lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three children. When
she isn’t writing a book, she’s reading one. Her obsession with both is often
revealed in the state of her home, and how late dinner is to the table. When
she finally leaves those fictional worlds, you’ll find her in the garden,
playing in the dirt and daydreaming about people who live only in her head,
until she puts them on paper.
Thanks to Tasty Book Tours and Jennifer Ryan for providing the opportunity to read and review this great story. I was intrigued by this story for two reasons: the cover and the blurb. Yes, I am a person the will pick a book based on the cover. Usually I am not disappointed and this one didn’t disappoint.
Brody returns home after serving as an Army Ranger and wants to reconnect with “the one the got away” but when he discovers just what happened after he left, his whole world changes. He discovers what he wanted most is going to take work, patience and he isn’t backing down. I loved that he immediately started taking care of his responsibilities and didn’t act like an idiot about it.
Rain is such a strong female character and she is a woman that I can honestly say can make the world view single moms in a different light. What she does to make me feel that way is such an important part of the storyline, I can’t even tell you in this review.
Owen, Brody’s brother, well he is the uncle that every kid wants and every one should have. I can’t wait to read his story.
