Shocking discoveries rock the Adairs…and a determined librarian can’t help falling for one of this dynasty’s rugged heroes!
It’s true that money can’t buy happiness. Librarian Georgia Mason has seen one wealthy Adair ruin her stepmother’s life and swears she won’t get involved with his son Carson. So what if he’s a hot former special ops soldier who showers her with extravagant gifts? But he is the sexiest man she’s ever met and it’s hard to hate him for searching for his long-lost stepbrother, or tracking down the traitor behind his botched mission. And when Georgia faces life-threatening danger, Carson protects her, igniting their scorching passion. Maybe love of money isn’t the root of all evil. Maybe there’s more to Carson to trust, respect…and love.
As always I will first thank Harlequin and NetGalley for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.
I thought this was a nice story, though I wish I’d have known that its three separate books by three different authors that came out at the same time. Not having read the first book left me feeling a bit lost at the very beginning of this story, and not having read the third I feel incomplete (but no worries I will get to read those some day -whenever I have time to do some pleasure reading).
Georgia is such a sweet character, and her prejudice against the Adair’s is quickly debunked by Carson and him showing her not everyone is the way that his father had been. But there are other things going on with Georgia that Carson has to work hard to help her with.
Carson is such a sweet character and I loved the fact that he was once a Marine. My heart broke for him at times for the things that he was dealing with. It must have been hard for him to find out that who he thought his father was, wasn’t really the person Ruby once knew.
I really liked this book but because it was part of a series that I didn’t get the other books for I sadly have to give it only 4 out of 5 kisses.
Happy Reading… Adri
