REVIEW: The Millionaire’s Unexpected Proposal by Jane Peden
April 9, 2015
His marriage of inconvenience…
Camilla Winthrop is about to do something she’s never done in her life—she’s about to ask a man to marry her. Not just any man. She hasn’t seen Sam Flanagan in almost five years, after he coldly walked away from a passionate and intense two-week affair. Now Camilla is widowed and desperate…and marrying Sam is the only way she can protect their son. The son he never knew about.
A hugely successful attorney in Miami, Sam certainly never expected to see the stunning Camilla come through his door again. Nor can he ignore the desire heating his blood. But after she tells him her situation, Sam is furious. He’ll marry her, but under his terms. And he’ll take everything, including Camilla in his bed…unless she can find a way to thaw the millionaire’s icy heart once more.
As always I want to first thank Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.
I have to say that I found Sam to be such an ass to Camilla and her situation. As a lawyer he should know not everything is as it appears, but does he even think about that… NOOO… he just jumps to these conclusions of her. It kind of angered me that he wasn’t more involved in her and her sons life sooner because of his own fault. He’d dismissed the feelings and things that they’d shared because he was scared.
Camilla has such a great heart and sacrifices so much for not only her son but her sister as well. She gives up her life and any chance of a happy future to make sure those she loves are taken care of and always safe. She not only did it the first time she got married but when she asks Sam to marry her. She is willing to take all the cold shoulder and abuse that Sam dishes out as long as her son is kept safe.
The only thing she never expects is that Sam would be the one that considers stabbing her in the back. The one person she goes to for help and protection.
I really enjoyed this book and give it 4 happy kisses…
