Blurb:

Tormented by the knowledge that his father died thinking the worst of him, Colt Hall never meant to come home to Chance Creek. But with his brothers banding together to rebuild the family’s old ranch, he’s finding it hard to stay away. In accordance with the conditions for them to inherit the spread, Colt must soon marry. Too bad the only woman he wants is Heather Ward, the girl he walked away from years ago without saying good-bye.

Heather hid a secret for twelve long years, but when the Halls moved back to town it was only a matter of time before the truth came out. Now everyone but Colt knows he has a son. She’ll get one chance to convince Colt to forgive her—and become the father Richard has always longed for. If she answers Colt’s online ad for a temporary wife, will he fall in love with her before he learns the truth?

Colt knows it’s crazy to try to find a wife through an internet ad, and it’s even crazier to fall for a stranger who wants far more than a temporary marriage, but Helena Warner reminds him so much of Heather, he begins to wonder if the two might be the same woman. Heather can’t believe she’s using a fake name to seduce the father of her own child, but is it possible Colt might know more about her true identity than he’s letting on?

Once all the lies and secrets are stripped bare, Colt and Heather must answer the ultimate question: can a love interrupted ever be renewed?

REVIEW:

I would first of all like to thank Cora Seton for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.

Many of you may remember I fell in love with Cora Seton and her Chance Creek family when I came across a copy of The Navy Seal’s Email Order Bride on Netgalley… that is the first book in the Heroes of Chance Creek Series. And I become instantly hooked. I found myself having to go all the way back to her first series of books the Cowboys of Chance Creek. So to get the last of the Heroes book was a bit of a bitter sweet moment. I was so excited to get Colts book and to finally see not only who but how he deals with being the in the AirForce and always accomplish his aunt’s rules for getting the ranch back.

I was also anxious to see what happened with Heather and Richard and what reaction Colt would have to finding out he had a son. Let me tell you the fun and action start off pretty early in this book. Heather answers Colt’s ad and all kinds of fun ensue, but also drama. See there are things Colt does before he figures out that Heather is the one that answers his ad in the first place and those things come back to bite him in the butt in front of his aunt. Which caused me to spend quite a number of hours crying for the hurt and pain Heather and Richard have to deal with. I loved the fact that not only Colt’s Brothers but their wives rally behind Heather and Colt when he realizes that what he is doing is hurting the woman he loves.

Like I said I was sad to see this series end and hope to get to see what happens with the whole Hall clang in a future book in Chance Creek.

I give this book 5 lusty kisses…

Happy Reading… Adri
