A Hero’s Welcome Book Two
Annie Rains
Releasing April 26th, 2016
With its thriving military base, Seaside, North Carolina, is teeming with heroes of all stripes. But, as the Hero’s Welcome series from Annie Rains continues, it takes a cowboy to rescue the town’s newest resident from heartache.
After a bad breakup leaves Julie Chandler completely devastated, she comes to Seaside seeking a fresh start. A talented, compassionate yoga teacher, she has developed a program to help alleviate the effects of PTSD, but getting a bunch of bullheaded Marines into downward facing dog might be impossible. So Julie’s shocked when one of her first students dives in headfirst—and almost tempts her to take down her walls with his easy smile and electrifying touch.

Ever since Texas cowboy turned Marine pilot Lawson Phillips lost a crew member in a helicopter accident, he hasn’t been able to fly. When a psychologist orders him to attend, of all things, a yoga
class, Lawson’s outraged—until he finds out Julie is the instructor. She’s beautiful, graceful, and completely guarded when it comes to his advances, but he’s determined to find out what makes her tick. Because underneath Julie’s hard shell is a woman Lawson knows he could fall for—and he’s not ready for the ride to end.

Sarah’s Review:
Thank you to Tasty Book Tours and Annie Rains for giving me the chance to read and review this great story.  I am a sucker for military romances, so I jumped at the chance to read and review this story. I read the first one in preparation for this review, since I love finding series to read.
I fell for Lawson’s character in Welcome to Forever for a couple reasons.  The cowboy hat & the Marine.  Those two things in a man is an instant attraction for me.  When you add in that Lawson’s priority is making sure that his niece is taken care of, that makes the attraction that much better.   The journey that Lawson is on in this book is a journey that many of our service men and women go through.  I am thankful for the fact that Ms. Rains did not glorify PTSD or downplay how it can be for someone that is dealing with it.
Julie’s character was one that I wanted to know more about from Welcome to Forever.  There was something that I connected with so I definitely wanted to know why I connected.  Well, I found out in this book why I connected with her.  As you read this, you can see what someone who has experienced being in an abusive relationship can go through.  The trust issues, the reluctance to put themselves out there, the ability to believe a lie and many other things.  I love Julie’s resilience to become who she was and not be held back.
I fear that I am going to give too much away, but I truly love this book.  The romance felt real.  The PTSD struggles felt real.  The love felt real.
Kudos, Ms. Rains.  You have gained a new fan.  So, my next question is: When will Welcoming the Bad Boy be released?

I am a 36 y/o single mom of a 14 y/o son. I read many of the sub-genres of romance.
