Through his teachings, Dash makes love to Amber’s mind and merges with her soul. Physically there’s only one problem, a secret that’s sacred. Amber St. James is a virgin…by choice.
My Review
I was so happy to see that Sacred Serenity was about Amber! I was so curious about her in Resisting Roots and there was no better love interest for her than Dash. That man oozes sensuality!
What I love about Amber is that while she is steadfast in her faith, she isn’t afraid to keep her mind open. But don’t confuse that with being a pushover, she is anything but. I really admired her for holding fast to her values even when temptation became almost too great. She has resolve I’m not sure I would have!
Dash is somewhat….unconventional. He is fully invested in the tantric arts and believes that the connection between two people is stronger than any piece of paper ever could be. He had a Matthew McConaughey feel to him in a way. That care free, live and let live vibe that you can’t help but love.
I love that these two were more similar than they appear to be. Both have very strong beliefs that shape who they are. And when you have such strong beliefs, communication is key to having your partner understand where you are coming from. Faith is a strong feeling that shapes us, and when you come from different directions, you have to find some common ground if you want your relationship to work.
This book is definitely a lot more steamy than the first, and it will push your boundaries unlike the first book. But underneath all the steamy tantric yoga, is a love story about two people who must decide if their love is worth the risk. They must decide if their faith is strong enough to overcome their differences. And they must see if there is any common ground for them to stand on while holding steady to the beliefs that make them unique.
