I always go in with a plan. A set of rules for myself. I don’t take unnecessary risks. That’s how I’ve been able to evade capture all these years.
But there’s something about this girl that is different than the others. When I finally meet her, the rules become a blur. And I break the most important one of all—I take her with me.
It’s just my imagination—that feeling of being watched. That those icy eyes— a vivid turquoise with a distinct golden fleck—aren’t watching me.
It’s just stress. I am the person everyone relies on. Maybe that’s why I haven’t been feeling so content with my life lately. Why I dream those eyes belong to someone who can tear me away from all of my responsibilities.
But these are just shameful fantasies, never meant to breach reality.
Then one night, the dream comes true, only it’s a horrific nightmare.
Now, I only have one task: survival.
I have been hooked on Nina’s writing ever since her very first novel, Strapped, and this book solidifies exactly why she is a must read author for me.
Take Me With You tested my limits and I wasn’t even sure that was possible. It takes the whole captive trope to a whole new level that only Nina could take it.
Nina has a way of writing a very strong female lead that even in the worst of situations, she manages to come out even stronger than she was before. Where most people would break, Nina’s female leads seem to thrive.
Sam. I can’t say much about him except….thank you for making me fall in love with the villain. By the end of the book I came to understand him, and even what he did made sense (omg how twisted is that??)
This is the tpe of book that if you have any triggers, forget it. Put it down and go grab a fluffy kitten and draw rainbows, and go hug your mom. this isn’t the book for you. If you have no limits, or think you don’t, you need this book. If this is the direction Nina is going, I seriously cannot wait to see just how dark she can go, or maybe I’m terrified. I can’t decide which one it is.
I give Take Me With You 5 dark, twisted kisses
