REVIEW: Silent Sins by Audrey Carlan

Silent Sins (Lotus House Book #5)

by Audrey Carlan

#1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author

Releases 3rd April

My name is Honor, but I have none to speak of. I’m a high-society princess on the verge of ending it all. I have nothing to show for my life, though my bank account would say otherwise. Money and status has controlled every ounce of my world and I want no part of it. It’s what took away the most important person in my life. He’s gone and I’m alone, and no one is here to save me. Pain is the only pleasure I can feel anymore.

To find a healthier avenue to deal with my grief, I turned to Lotus House Yoga for salvation—and found it in the tall, dark, and brutally attractive Nicholas Salerno. He’s everything I’m not. Lives every day to the fullest, loves his family, and goes after what he wants with a thrust that’s unmatched. I can’t help but be swept up in his beauty as he attempts to show me the light and reawaken my desires. Except Nick doesn’t know what I’ve hidden, and I’m afraid he’ll despise what he finds…when my sins are no longer silent.

My Review
I was not prepared for the emotions this book gave me. I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. Honor and Nick will shatter you, then make your heart soar. Silent Sins is a book that’s about strength, finding yourself, finding your passion, and rebuilding yourself…mind, body, and soul. It’s the kind of story that teaches us not to judge a book by it’s cover and to be compassionate because everyone is fighting their own demons in their own way. And just because things appear perfect on the outside, a person could be screaming for help  on the inside. It also shows the reader the true meaning of family….people that will love you in spite of your flaws and support you through everything even if they disagree with the path you choose. Nick and Honor have an undeniable chemistry too. This couple is HOT. Nick is the perfect balance for Honor. Ever time he said, “Use your words” I wanted to melt. He draws her out of her shell and helps her deal with her pain, all the while dealing with his own.
Audrey Carlan tackles some pretty tough, but very relevant subject matter, but does it in a way that is non judgemental and very compassionate, while staying real to the ugly side that sometimes bubbles up past the surface. Honor and Nick are my absolute favorite Lotus House couple so far. Their journey of healing is an inspiration.
