Synopsis

She’s the only link to his past…

Six years ago, Tristan Stone was everything to me. My whole heart, my future. We were unshakeable, bound tighter by any force that tried to drive us apart. Then he disappeared from my life, leaving me in tatters, broken and running away to one of the most intense cities in the world. Somehow he found me, but now nothing is the same…

Tristan claims someone wants me dead. He’s scarred and dangerous, but all of that seems to melt away when we touch. I might be the only one who can give him his memories, but I want more. The lover I could never forget is trapped inside the heartless man he’s become. I won’t stop until I reach him. I won’t stop until I find the answers he’s not giving me.

My Review
This book is much faster paced than the first one. In the second part of this thrilling series, we get to see a bit more of just who Tristan was before his rebirth. We get a glimpse of the mysterious Jay, and just how she fits in to Tristan’s new life. My entire opinion of Isabel is beginning to change. In the first book, I thought she was kind of love sick and just couldn’t get over Tristan, but she’s proving to me to be stronger than I first thought. She’s taking control of her life and while at times goes a bit rogue, she’s determined to discover the missing pieces of Tristan’s past. Where to me the first book seemed to have a theme of desperation to know the truth, this book was more about trust. Trust is the key to Isabel and Tristan working together. It isn’t going to be easy, but they have to figure out a way to make it work, if it even can.
Meredith has done an amazing job at building the suspense and keeping us on edge waiting to see just how everything is going to play out. I cannot wait to get more of Tristan and Isabel’s story!
