Breaking Conviction by Greer Rivers

Snake

The enemy is two steps ahead.
Every time we think we have answers,
We’re left with only more questions.
I’ve made mistakes,
Hunted the wrong villains,
And now innocents are paying the price.
Naomi’s found herself in the middle of it all.
She can’t know how broken I am,
The rage that I keep buried inside,
Or that my past has become her nightmare.
Naomi fears she’s a damsel trapped by her villain,
But she’s my queen.
And it’s time she breaks free.

Naomi
The villain has me trapped.
Every time I think I can escape,
The chains strengthen and my hope fades.
I’ve made mistakes,
Trusted the wrong man,
And now I’m paying the price.
Snake wants me to run away from it all.
He doesn’t know how caged I am,
The fears that keep me frozen in place.
Or that my dream has become my nightmare.
Snake worries he’s a monster ruined by his past,
But he’s my knight.
And it’s time I break free.

As always a thank you goes first to Greer Rivers for providing us a copy of this book so that we can bring you this review.

This is the third book in the conviction series. And this is one that will really put your emotions into overdrive. I thought Devil and Ellie was going to be a rough read, but that is nothing compared to this one. I love how Greer is not afraid to touch on subjects that are sensitive. The things that were hinted at that Noemi was going to deal with are harder to read from her POV, but they are what someone would go through. This book made me love Thea even more, she was a great little side character and helped us see what a great person Snake is. She shows us how caring he is, and how great he is with children. And this helps Noemi really open up to him and trust him. The way that Snake (aka Wes) is with not only Thea and Noemi is so sweet. It kills me that he had to go through stuff as a kid and it makes him more sensitive to Noemi’s situation. There are things that happen in this book that had me at the brink of tears, and I am hoping with all hope that what it seems is happening really isn’t.

Can wait for Healing Conviction.

I give this book 5 breaking kisses.

Happy Reading… Adri
